What is the difference between DermapenWorld™ Dp4 and other Microneedling Treatments?

Platelet-Rich Plasma
Platelet-Rich Plasma, also known as autologous conditioned plasma, is a concentrate of platelet-rich plasma protein derived from whole blood, centrifuged to remove red blood cells.  PRP combined with microneedling will enhance the results by producing faster healing, smoother and firmer skin.

How long does Microneedling take?
Total preparation and procedure time is about 45 minutes to 1 hr. We ask that you come in 30 minutes prior to numb the area.

Downtime
Recovery for this procedure is minimal. You can return to normal activities the next day, or even the same day for some patients. Some patients may experience facial redness for 12-48 hours after the treatment.

Results
Microneedling is a very popular treatment that is commonly used to address textural concerns such as lines, wrinkles, large pores, acne scars, stretch marks and post-surgical scars. Depending on your condition and what you are trying to achieve, a package of 4 to 6 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart is recommended for best results. Results can also be maximized by adding a treatment of dermablading prior to microneedling or a peel after microneedling followed by LED healing light.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a medical cosmetic procedure that involves using a sterile surgical scalpel to gently scrape the surface of the skin. This process removes dead skin cells, fine facial hair (also known as "peach fuzz"), and impurities from the skin's surface, leaving it smoother and more vibrant.

During the procedure, our licensed and highly trained staff will use a small surgical blade to gently scrape the skin in short, feathering strokes. This removes the outer layer of dead skin cells and fine hairs, revealing the healthier, more youthful-looking skin beneath.

The procedure typically takes about 30 minutes to complete, depending on the size of the treatment area. Patients can return to their normal activities immediately after treatment. The procedure is suitable for all skin types and can be performed on any area of the face, including the cheeks, chin, forehead, and nose.

One of the main benefits of dermaplaning is that it can help to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and acne scars. By removing the outer layer of dead skin cells, the skin is stimulated to produce new collagen and elastin, which can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles over time. The removal of the fine facial hair can also help to improve the overall texture and smoothness of the skin.

Dermaplaning can be performed as a standalone treatment or in combination with other cosmetic procedures, such as chemical peels or microdermabrasion. However, it is important to note that dermaplaning is not suitable for individuals with active acne or inflamed skin, as it can exacerbate these conditions.

Chemical Exfoliation Peels

Chemical exfoliation peels are a cosmetic treatment designed to improve the appearance and texture of the skin by removing dead skin cells and stimulating cell turnover. This process involves the application of a chemical solution to the skin, which causes the outer layer of dead skin cells to peel away, revealing the healthier, more youthful-looking skin beneath.

Chemical peels can be categorized into three levels based on their depth of penetration: superficial, medium, and deep. Superficial peels typically use alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) or beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs) to exfoliate the outermost layer of the skin. Medium peels use trichloroacetic acid (TCA) to penetrate deeper into the skin and remove the outer and middle layers. Deep peels use phenol to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin and are typically reserved for more severe skin concerns.

Chemical peels can help to improve the appearance of a range of skin concerns, including acne, fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone and texture. The treatment is generally safe for all skin types, but it is important to consult with a licensed and experienced provider to determine which type of peel is best suited for your individual skin concerns.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF CHEMICAL EXFOLIATION PEELS:
Trichloroacefic (TCA)

Trichloroacetic Acid, often referred to as TCA 20%, is an effective medium peel chemical agent used to exfoliate and renew the skin on a superficial to deep level increasing collagen and elastin production and is beneficial for gradually removing unwanted freckles, tattoos. It is a wonderful peel for normal, dry or mature skin that is sun damaged and dull. TCA is commonly applied to the face, neck, hands and legs. In addition, TCA is also an excellent “spot treatment” and can be used to exclusively peel isolated areas of the skin.

The benefits of superficial TCA peels are many, but among the most notable is the ability to adjust the depth to fit the skin problem. As more coats are applied, the peel will get deeper, as the solution goes looking for protein to neutralize itself. The long-lasting results make it an ideal peel for those who prefer less peeling sessions at the cost of moderate downtime.

This peel will result in heavier peeling and not recommended for darker skin types.

TCA can improve:
• Even Skin Tone
• Texture and Clarity
• Reduction of Acne
• Clogged Pores
• Scars
• Wrinkles and Fine Lines
• Hyperpigmentation

Glycolic Acid

Glycolic Acid, also known as Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), is a chemical exfoliant originally sourced from sugarcane and used for beautification by ancient civilizations. Modern Glycolic peels are chemically engineered to make them more effective, standardized, and accessible to the masses. Glycolic acid loosens the bonds between cells, allowing old, dead skin cells to shed off the skin on a cellular level. This will allow for new healthy cell growth.

We offer 30% mild strength and 70% deep strength, depending on desired results, this peel is suitable for all skin types.

Glycolic acid peels combat common skin issues such as adult acne (non-oily skin), clogged pores and blackheads, slowing skin metabolism, and dull or uneven complexions. They can be applied in low level strengths as often as every 7-10 days or higher strengths every 2-4 weeks, making this peel very adaptable to one's lifestyle with very little downtime.

Glycolic Acid Targets:
• Rough Skin Texture and Breakouts
• Clogged Pores and Blackheads
• Dark Spots and Uneven Skin Tone Due to Hyperpigmentation, Age Spots or Sunspots
• Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Salicylic Acid Alpha/Beta

Salicylic Acid is a Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) with capacity for deep pore penetration that makes it an excellent choice for those prone to mild and moderate acne vulgaris. Dead skin and debris can plug the delicate pore resulting in blackheads, whiteheads, and acne eruptions. Salicylic Acid’s winning combination of antiseptic and exfoliating properties promotes a clear, healthy complexion.

A Salicylic Acid Peel will begin to purge clogged pores even after the first peel. As a result, acne breakouts may temporarily heighten. Nevertheless, the pore purification process should ultimately improve acne conditions and provide a clear path to beautiful skin! Salicylic Acid peels also provide marked improvements in skin tone, texture and clarity.

This peel is best for oily, acne prone skin and can be combined with a Glycolic peel (Alpha/Beta) for maximum deep penetration results. This peel is good for all skin tones.

Best For:
• Reduction of Acne Inflammation
• Clogged Pores
• Seborrheic Dermatitis
• Psoriasis
• Ingrown Hairs
• Wrinkles and Fine Lines
• Improved Texture and Clarity

FACIALS:
Cryo Facial

Cryo Facials, also known as Cryotherapy Facials, are a type of facial treatment that involves the application of cold temperatures to the face. The procedure starts with deep cleansing of the skin, followed by a lymphatic massage of the face. A cold breeze of -200 to -300 degrees Fahrenheit in the form of vaporized liquid nitrogen is applied all over the face, the air is constantly moving, therefore felling refreshing and relaxing.

Subzero temperatures shrink the appearance of pores soften lines and aids with inflammation—partly due to the tightening effect that occurs and increase in blood flow. The capillaries expand, white blood cells get to work protecting you, the brain releases adrenaline to stimulate the organs—all of which help to facilitate cell turnover and stimulate the body’s healing mechanisms. When the cryo facial treatment is over and your temperature goes back to normal, the blood vessels re-dilate, flooding the face and extremities with fresh, nutrient-rich blood to repair, flush out toxins, reduce inflammation and awaken brighter, smoother, and tighter skin.

One of the main benefits of cryo facials is that they can help to improve the appearance of the skin. By reducing inflammation and redness, the treatment can help to make the skin look brighter and more even in tone. Cryo facials can also help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as the cold temperature can cause the skin to tighten and firm up. Another benefit of cryo facials is that they can help to reduce the appearance of pores. By causing the blood vessels in the face to constrict, the treatment can help to reduce the size of the pores, which can make the skin look smoother and more youthful.

In addition to these cosmetic benefits, cryo facials may also have some therapeutic benefits. For example, the treatment can help to reduce inflammation in the skin, which can be beneficial for individuals who suffer from conditions such as acne or rosacea. Cryo facials may also help to stimulate the production of collagen, which can improve the elasticity and overall health of the skin.

Overall, cryo facials are a relatively new and innovative facial treatment that can offer a range of benefits for individuals looking to improve the appearance and health of their skin.

Cryo Facial Benefits:
• Tightening Pores
• Diminishing the Appearance of Wrinkles
• Reduces Inflammation and Puffiness
• Brightening the Under-Eye Area
